Showcase Web Upgrade

Civil cases now available online

As of March 31, 2008, all case types are now available in ShowCase. The list of new case types available to search includes circuit civil, county civil, domestic violence, family law, mental health, and probate cases.

• What types of cases can be found using ShowCase?

  As of March 31, 2008, all case types are now available. ShowCase is the record search system for criminal and civil cases. Cases back to January 1973 are available online. If you are searching for a case record prior to this time period, please contact the appropriate department for assistance.

• How do I get a login for ShowCase?

  Login accounts are generally not necessary for users outside of the judicial system. When you are prompted for a login account for ShowCase, type public in both the username and password fields. Additional online access is available in some cases, for more information please visit the Showcase Access page.

• Why can't I find a case in ShowCase?

  There are several possibilities:

  • Case Type - Try restricting your search to the type of case you are looking for.
  • Search Criteria - Try using search criteria that is less specific, such as only searching last name and partial first name instead of the full name.
  • Name Spelling/Alias - Try searching on common variations of the desired name to account for various spellings or alias of a given name.
