New Courthouse Move - Office Closing Information

On Friday, May 18, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. the courthouse at 330 East Bay Street will close its doors for good. The new Duval County Unified Courthouse Facility at 501 West Adams will open on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
As a result of the moving process, our main office will be closed for normal operations for a ten day period starting at 5:00pm on Friday, May 18th until Tuesday, May 29th.
- Normal operations will be suspended from May 18th at 5:00pm until the new Courthouse is open on May 29th.
- If you wish to file a new case, you MUST file it by 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the current courthouse in the respective department.
- To effectively process our case work both before and during the move, the Clerk's office will accept EMERGENCY FILINGS ONLY from May 17, 2012 until May 25, 2012. The judiciary will determine what constitutes an emergency.
- If you have a scheduled court hearing, YOU MUST STILL APPEAR unless it has been rescheduled.
- FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR PAYMENTS can be made at Traffic Violations Bureau. You may also schedule Misdemeanor court appearances at this location.
- Our satellite locations Traffic Violations Bureau and Beaches Branch WILL REMAIN
OPEN for normal operation during and after the move.

Tax Deeds Sales Now Online - starting with sale on January 25, 2012
Starting with the tax deed sale of January 25, 2012, all tax deed sales will now be handled online via the Real Auction / Duval County Tax Deeds website. It is recommended that you visit the website, complete any necessary registration steps, and familiarize yourself with the process and website well in advance of the sale itself.
IMPORTANT: Confidential Information within Court Filings - Effective October 1, 2010
Effective October 1, 2010 any paper filed with the court that contains confidential information (social security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc.) must be accompanied by a new form called “NOTICE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WITHIN COURT FILING”. The information entered on this form will indicate the type of confidential data being filed and its’ precise location within the document being filed. This requirement is a result of an amendment by the Florida Supreme Court to Rule 2.420 of the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration. To access the interactive form click here.
